Invoketress’ Biennial Bellydance Fusion Show
SAVE THE DATE!
The next MOSAIC show is on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the River Run Centre, Guelph! This year’s theme is “Evoking Other-Worldly Beings.” We are super excited to confirm our special guest performers: Shades of Araby, Raqs Mahasti, Rinceoiri Celtica, Crystal Reia (duet with Ishra), Georgia Simms from Dancetheatre David Earle, and Roula Said. Live music by Andrew McPherson, Brent Rowan, and Gary Diggins. And of course, new and exciting performances by Ishra and Invoketress Dance.
HISTORY OF MOSAIC
For over the past decade, Ishra and Invoketress have been pushing the creative envelope by organizing and hosting their much-anticipated Bellydance fusion show – a production that takes Bellydance and fuses it with the many other dance forms that exist. This highly acclaimed show was formerly known as the “Mish Mash Belly Bash.” In 2012, Invoketress changed the name to “MOSAIC” Bellydance Fusion Show to represent the melding of artistic expressions and dance styles with Bellydance. The show is also now held every two years in order to properly prepare for and create outstanding numbers for a truly memorable, professional, high caliber show. Guest performers are carefully selected by their talent and innovation. Each show has a theme that focuses the show’s pieces and to build context. Scroll down below and relive some memories of Mosaic/Mish Mashes past!

“MOSAIC – TIME IN MOTION” 10TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW
November 28, 2014
There’s nothing quite like watching a live production but in case you missed it (or want to revisit the magic), you can watch the entire production of our last “MOSAIC – Time in Motion” 10th Anniversary Bellydance Fusion show online!
“MOSAIC – Time in Motion Part 1”
MOSAIC – Time in Motion Part 2″
“MOSAIC – Time in Motion” was our 10th Anniversary Bellydance Fusion show! We took the audience traveling through time: past, present, future, and where time does not exist. We journeyed through a tale authored by Ishra herself. Invoketress performed new innovative pieces as well as revamped some of fan favourites from the past. Our esteemed guest performers included Shades of Araby, Nico Kaburia, Rinceori Celtica, Tribe MayaFire, and a very special appearance by Andrew McPherson!
This year we also donated $1 for every ticket purchased towards Love146, a charity whose mandate is to end child trafficking and exploitation.
